Asha For Education is an organisation that has shown me how easy it is to bring change to the world. It is staffed completely by volunteers; regular folks with careers and jobs who are not driven by some unreachable ideal. They simply have found a way to leave the world slightly better than they have found it, and have adapted their lifestyles in a small way to impact the lives of tens of thousands of impoverished, underprivileged and oppressed people across India. Their cause resonates with me because it shows how important every one of us is in making the world a better place. How change begins with us setting aside a few hours a week to volunteer and help out. I believe in the cause, and I want to do my best to help out. These funds will go to helping some child get an education who would not otherwise, to help some lady give her child a future she never could have, to help some girl dream of working a job and bringing electricity to her village rather than be married off at the age of 12. I don’t simply mean this as a rhetoric; if the world’s a mess, it’s up to us to sweep up and set it right. Join me for the mission, and help me by donating.
