I’m a graduate student at GT focusing on research in the biomedical field. Generally, I like reading, hiking and cooking in my free time. Asha for education supports several ongoing projects that contribute towards the education of underprivileged children in India, which is a very impressive initiative that I’d like to be a part of. They organise volunteering opportunities, events and running programs that allow you to donate your time and money towards this cause. I plan on running a half marathon by the end of this semester in support of these projects, with the goal of increasing my running pace. Towards that goal, I’ve been steadily increasing my training distance and strength training activities with the help of the Asha running program. It’s been especially fun and motivating training with everyone in the running group. By contributing, you would play a vital role in bringing education to those who need it most. Through this effort, I’m raising funds for Pratibandhi Kalyan Kendra, an NGO in India that is supporting children with deafness, particularly in remote rural areas, ensuring access to quality education, healthcare, and assistive devices.
